Activity description

This session begins by an open question to the group of “which barriers migrants face when trying to integrate into the receiving country’s labor market”. After the open discussion the trainer provides a list with different barriers and obstacles that someone could face while searching for a job. The list is not exhausting and it is under discussion and reflection. Moreover, the trainer asks the participants if they know people with migrant background either in their own countries or people who left their countries and immigrated somewhere else. The participants are motivated to share their own experiences and opinions about the topic.

Which recognitions migrants need in order to have better chances entering the labor market?

Which best practices do the participants know about the recognition of qualifications and experience of migrants in the host countries?

The trainer will provide information and best practice examples from the field. In this stage it is suggested that experts share their knowledge about the best integration methodologies of migrants in the labor market.
